Hours: Part-time from August 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024
SUMMARY
As an Activation Manager, you will be employed for certain marketing programs (the “Programs”), managed by the Agency for its clients. In this position, you will work with a designated Agency Representative and act as a liaison between the agency and the venues at which you will carry out your job duties. This includes becoming knowledgeable of all aspects of the Programs, becoming familiar with all products that are promoted in the Programs, and being available to answer questions of venue/event contacts and event attendees.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following:
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as the face of the client brand or product associated with the Programs
Assist your Agency Representative and local venues to manage the shipping process, including assistance with:
Receiving inventory of products, premiums, and equipment and determining storage location(s)
Coordinating the unloading of supplies from the truck and verifying correct quantities received
Packing equipment at the end of the event and scheduling a pick-up time and location
Assist your Agency Representative and local venues to manage allocation and distribution of products and premiums, including:
Verifying logistics, including times, locations, and messaging
Serving correct products at correct times and correct temperature
Ensuring that quantities of products and supplies have been distributed appropriately
Set up and run activation elements throughout the event, including:
Managing technology to ensure a streamlined experience
Troubleshooting technology issues
Managing distribution of giveaways to correct parties
Managing retail sales and operating point-of-sale (POS) technology as needed
Engage with consumers at designated locations, including
Distributing products and premiums
Using dedicated talking points while engaging with customers on-site
Taking photos of customers with the product and engaging with activations
Timely complete advance work, set up, and tear down of product display and clean up at each designated site
Capture and create content to be used on various social media outlets, interacting digitally with fans and properties
Attend all required trainings
Train and lead on-site brand ambassadors to ensure activation is successfully executed
Manage Program expenditures in accordance with Agency procedures and submit business expenses timely and according to Agency policies
Strictly comply with all laws and Agency policies pertaining to the safe operation of a motor vehicle
Perform other duties as assigned by Agency
WORK SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to Agency
Able to travel independently
Refrains from use of alcohol or drugs (including prescription and non-prescription drugs) that impair ability to safely operate motor vehicle
Refrains from engaging in any activity that distracts from driving or takes eyes or attention off the road
Possess strong public speaking skills, sound organizational skills, and computer literacy
Exhibit a professional demeanor and compelling customer service attitude
Self-directed, tactful, diplomatic, and able to deal with the public in a clear, courteous, and professional manner
Display a high level of energy and a dependable, strong work ethic
Adept at responding to new opportunities and adapting quickly to shifting conditions
Demonstrate an ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
Able to drive larger vehicles, which may include trucks with attached trailers and 4-wheel trucks and vans
EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 25 years of age and have at least three years of work experience, preferably in marketing, advertising, or a related field
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to secure reliable transportation for local travel
Extensive travel required, both interstate and locally (depending on Programs), extending into nights and weekends
Work may be performed in outside weather conditions, which may include rain, humid conditions, extreme heat, altitude, and extreme cold
EDUCATION
College graduate, preferably with a degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time; occasional lifting of moderate to heavy weight objects
