Position:

Brand Engagement Manager

  • This is a contract position that starts August 16, 2021 and runs through November 25, 2021
  • This position includes nights and weekends and will include travel within the designated market area

Rate:

$1,000-$1,200 + approved reimbursable expenses

Overview:

The Brand Engagement Manager (BEM) will primarily act as the face of the brand, in the on- and off-premise to engage, educate & sample consumers and trade. The BEM is responsible for the oversight and execution of all assigned programming. The field marketing programs involve conducting consumer sampling activity in bars and retail outlets and creating Brand Evangelists within key accounts.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing and executing weekly administrative tasks such as
completing event recaps, payroll completion, inventory reconciliation, scheduling and effective management of program objectives, goals and metrics within the designated market.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Due to varying local guidelines, regulations and restrictions, many on- and off-premise accounts across the country are requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination to be admitted into that account. Because your presence in both on- and off-premise accounts is an essential function of this job, it is crucial that you be able to enter all accounts, including those requiring proof of vaccination. As such, to qualify for this position you must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key account contacts.
  • Act as the local brand advocate and be the face of the brand to consumers & trade.
  • Conduct consumer sampling activities.
  • Act as Lead during all types of consumer engagement activity.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse consumer audience, bar managers, clients and
    agency personnel.
  • Ensure program and employee compliance with all agency, client-based, State
    and Federal guidelines. Responsible for quality control. Execution must be in compliance with local Beverage Alcohol regulations.
  • Work closely with local sales team to ensure program sell-in and product placement.
  • Secure menu placements and new drink features.
  • Schedule promotions in target accounts.
  • Share key successes and challenges with local sales to improve program impact
    and performance.
  • Place permanent & semi-permanent POS in accounts.
  • Ensure all market deliverables/assignments are completed on time and accurately.
  • Achieve all program goals and metrics as outlined.
  • Capture and record information for weekly paperwork, including asset
    reconciliation, consumer insights, payroll, inventories and other required paperwork.
  • Available nights, weekends and during regular business hours for in-market administrative tasks, meetings, field audits, consumer engagement activity and trainings.
  • Office hours, evening and weekend activity vary depending on market, client and business needs.
  • Flexibility and willingness to be available during non-traditional hours is a must. o Manager on Duty and on-call responsibilities during nights and weekends.
  • Effective time management is required.
  • Available to work August 25-November 25 without interruption.
  • Walking and standing is necessary during all in-field audits and consumer engagement activities (shifts typically last 2-5+ hours).
  • Notify Manager of all incidents immediately and submit all required and requested documents/forms.
  • Make recommendations for next steps to correct or resolve the incident that occurred.
  • Responsible for the security of assets and confirmation of daily inventory. Handle, safeguard and account for all client and agency property.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of all business-related expenses including submittal of invoices and receipts.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to program shifts, policy and procedural changes as required and communicated by the agency.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and work independently, with little or no supervision.
  • Adaptable in fast-paced environments, while remaining proactive and efficient.
  • Present a positive image, embody leadership qualities and promote the agency and
    client with confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and strict punctuality.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High personal motivation and sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements:

  • Must obtain any local license or permit which is personal to you (e.g. individual solicitor permit, ABC permit, etc.)
  • Must comply with Location, Local and State Covid Guidelines regarding on- and off- premise alcohol activity, including vaccination and mask requirements.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in spirits/beverage alcohol.
  • Knowledge of local on-premise spirits.
