Typically, every month, the ATN Promo internal team selects a Team Member of the Month. ATN Promo provides top staff for emcee jobs year ’round and this month we recognize one of our top emcee team members, Kozmo.
The emcee at an event is a huge force in creating a successful event. Kozmo has been lending his talents to ATN for a number a years and we sure are lucky to have him.
Kozmo has received loads of accolades from our internal team and as our “Team Member of Month”will be receiving a $25 Amazon gift card.
Kozmo gave us the inside scoop on his emcee success:
1-How long have you worked for ATN?
This Fall makes 3 years.
2-What are the perks of being an ATN Promo team member?
Dealing with staffers and account managers who are on their game when it comes to booking logistics. Good exposure with high profile clients always makes the assignment more exciting as well.
3-What are your favorite type of emcee jobs to work?
I’m a national level event emcee so any event that involves a microphone is my wheelhouse. No event is too small or large. I’ve emceed local promo events in community centers with just a few people to NASCAR events having to entertain hundreds.
4-Which of your skills do you find serve you best in your career as an emcee, manager or brand ambassador?
My voice over skills give me the ability to have a direct-sounding conversation with many at once and my VO training puts more personality into live announcing. Also, my production experience dates back to college 20 years ago so that set a great foundation for me giving various technical skills, efficient stage business, timeliness and professionalism habits.
5-What is your advice for people who are interested/just starting out in the events industry. Market YOURSELF first. Build your personal marketing package, whatever that may be in your field, and always be on the hunt for a business card after networking because there will most likely be an email address on it and that’s your line in.
