Event: Educational Program

Type: Full-time (direct hire)

Location: Events take place throughout New Mexico – must be a current resident of New Mexico

Compensation: $1200.00 per week and per diem for meals/incidentals and hotels. Eligible for benefits at 90 days. A “chase car” provided for travel.

Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday. schedules may vary from week to week. Time off congruent with school breaks (Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year etc.and summers)

Overview: ATN is seeking a Field Marketing Manager for an exciting mobile educational program. As the Field Marketing Manager you’ll partner with our client’s Event Operations team and a Class A CDL Tour partner (who is responsible for driving the mobile workshop) to execute engaging workforce development events at high schools throughout New Mexico.

About the tour: This educational program will run solely in the state of New Mexico.  The program is aimed at engaging high school students, exploring careers in various skilled trades such as commercial driving, welding, heavy equipment operation, and more.  Approximately 25-30 students per class onboard the event trailer at each session, generally about 150 students per day.

The fundamental goal of this position is to engage and excite high school students about skilled trade careers. Due to the nature of the program the Field Marketing Manager must have outstanding leadership ability, a positive attitude and a high level of integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Follow exhibit truck in “chase car” (a sedan)
  • Set-up and tear-down of custom, double-expandable trailer and stations within
  • Operate interactive stations and simulators during the event
  • Communicate with onsite contact at each school/event site prior to arrival
  • Ensure the event trailer and all interactive exhibits and simulators are clean, safe, operational, and event-ready
  • Address, engage with and assist students with interactive stations
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and technology problems with IT professional as needed
  • Approximately 25-30 students per class onboard the event trailer at each session, generally about 150 students per day

Requirements

  • Leadership, integrity, and positive attitude always come first
  • Bilingual Spanish / English strongly preferred
  • A valid driver’s license and an immaculate driving record. We put a premium on over-the-road safety.
  • Excels at public speaking in front of small and large groups
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a current resident of New Mexico
  • A desire to work with high school-aged students (aged 13-18)
  • Ability to engage and create excitement around careers in various skilled trades
  • A clean criminal and motor vehicle background
  • Experience with moving and setting up custom expandable event trailers preferred
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently and as part of a team for long periods of time
  • Computer skills – Ability to use a tablet computer (Android-based), email, MS Suite, various Web-Based applications, etc
